Is it possible that Jake Dobkin's Gothamist empire just can't find good Black and Hispanic writers?

I dunno. It isn't as if Gothamist demands fact checking, investigation or much thought. As far as I know one of their editors who is an ignoramus John Del Signore didn't finish college. That's no crime, but I'm wondering how he got the job and how no Black or Hispanic could compete with his?????????
